Bulk Merchandiser

The Bulk Merchandiser has consistent contact with the customer. In this capacity, the most important role that this position plays is gaining and keeping the trust and respect of every customer he/she serves. Critical for success in the role is providing the customer with the quality of service and product that hallmarks Pepsi-Cola of N.E.W. Keeping the interests of the Company in mind as customer relationships are established.

 Essential duties and responsibilities which include but are not limited to the following.


  • Execute and implement customer plans as directed by the Bulk Coordinator and the Key Account Manager. Maintain positive customer relationships and satisfaction with product and service. Answer their questions, hear their complaints and seek to resolve any difficulties in a business-like and professional manner. Communicate the status of customer relationships with the Bulk Merchandising Supervisor.
  • Execute the P.R.E.M.I.E.R. service process in accordance to Pepsi NEW standards.
  • Take inventory of all products and replace or add new product in accordance with the Bulk Coordinators direction. Insure that all customers have the amount and type of product needed to meet customer demands.
  • Fill customer coolers, rotate product for freshness and maintain a clean front and inviting display.
  • Set-up displays and new items with promotional and advertising materials and sales aids including display racks, banners, etc. Rotate or replace display items to stay current with the seasons and specific advertising or promotional campaigns.
  • Provide back-up to the Bulk Coordinator.
  • Organize all point-of-sale merchandise for easy access.
  • Place and maintain adequate marketing materials within each account according to Pepsi NEW standards.
  • Inventory all items and when certain items are low, apprise the Coordinator so that more can be ordered.
  • Check-in and out product that is loaded or unloaded in the warehouse or on location with the customer direction. Complete invoices and write orders as necessary.
  • Reconcile settlement sheets at day's end.
  • Maintain and promote a clean and safe working environment at all times.



  • High School education, GED or equivalent is required. Additional formal education beyond high school is preferred but not required in the position.
  • One two years' experience in the soft drink distribution business is desirable but not required.
  • Effectiveness in the sales function for establishing initial contact with potential customers, increasing sales and maintaining the relationship
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in relating to peers, direct reports, customers, owners and others in order to maintain good working relationships.
  • A strong work ethic with a desire to exceed expectations both internally and externally.
  • A valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record and proof of insurance required.
  • Ability to work through situations in a mature and logical manner.
